Baltimore actor Ro Brooks is turning heads in Hollywood with his acting skills
"I auditioned," said Baltimore actor Ro Brooks (Preacher's Kids, "CSI: NY") about how he received the role in the new film Mysterious Ways, starring Wendy Raquel Robinson ("The Game"), Gary Dourban ("Being Mary Jane") and Erica Campbell (Mary Mary). The faith-based movie arrives on DVD and in theaters April 21, 2015. Brooks can be seen in the Tyler Perry series "The Haves and Have Nots" on the OWN Network. When asked about upcoming projects Ro informed me he has projects that include, "The Clean Up Men...I play an undercover cop, and The Congregation (Spring, 2015 release), I play a Pastor."
Brooks can also be seen in a national U.S. Marine Corps commercial titled "The Land We Love" and in Avalon (El Rey Network), a Toyota commercial with Idris Elba, and the film Squatters with Richard Dreyfuss. He can be seen in music videos of singer Syleena Johnson and Lil' Mo.

One of Ro's first roles was on "Homicide Life in the Streets" in 1993. He has since then amassed an impressive list of projects that include working with directors such as Quentin Tarantino and Michael Bey. His credits also include Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, A Beautiful Soul, "Shameless" (Showtime), and "Sons of Anarchy" (FX).

"As a writer each process is different," Chris said when I questioned him about his process for writing for "Real Husbands of Hollywood" (BET) starring Kevin Hart. "It's really just putting together an idea. Just keep writing it and rewriting. You got to keep writing. If you like to write it's a labor of love. Then it's a point when you say this is enough, this is it. You got to get it right."

As a writer Chris Spencer's credits include "Jamie Foxx Presents Laffapalooza," Nick Cannon's "Wide ‘N Out," "The BET Honors," "Saturday Night Live," and "Vibe". Forty-nine credits as an actor solidifies him in Hollywood for life, with roles in such projects as "Being Mary Jane," "Let's Stay Together," "Charmed," "ER," "The District," and films The Sixth Man and Significant Others.

As a producer Spencer has 34 episodes of "Real Husbands of Hollywood" as executive producer, and his own "Chris Spencer's Minority Report." He consulting producer on "Russell Simmons Presents: The Ruckus." His comedic talents landed him a spot on "The Chris Rock Show," "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and HBO's "Def Comedy Jam."
