"I was wowed by the writing," said singer/actress Naturi Naughton (Notorious, Lottery Ticket) about her starring role in the STARZ network dramatic series "Power" also starring Omari Hardwick as James St. Patrick aka Ghost, and Joseph Sikora. About her character, Tasha St. Patrick the wife of James, Naughton says, "She is strong and fierce. They did a great job writing the character."

"Power" was created by Courtney Kemp Agbah and executive produced by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson whom the series mirrors. "Power" centers on James the owner of a popular nightclub who is also a major player in the city's illegal drug network. He is struggling to maintain both worlds then he realizes he wants to become strictly legit.

"He was on set with us," said New Jersey native Naturi (former member of the R&B group 3LW) about 50 Cent as executive producer. "He gave me insight with his journey. He wanted to make sure I don't victimize her, but to empower her. His story and journey is inspiring - powerful. He was available for questions...very influential...very hands on."

"Power" is a CBS Television Studio production and premiers on STARZ Saturday, June 8, 2014 and it also stars Lela Loren, Sinqua Walls., Katherine Marducci, Leslie Lopez, and Jovanni Gomez.

50 Cent (Curtis Jackson) was born in Jamaica and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He left drug dealing to be a rapper, which could have been the cause of him beginning shot nine times. He eventually released his first self produced project titled "Guess Who's Back" (Aftermath) in 2002. He was discovered by Eminem and signed to a major record deal on his Shady/Interscope Records imprint. 50 Cent garnered a total of 30 million album sales - 8 million on his debut "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" in 2003. He founded the infamous Hip-Hop group G Unit with longtime friends Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks, and released their debut in 2003 titled "Beg For Mercy" - it went platinum. He won a Grammy Award, and six World Music, three American Music, four BET and 13 Billboard Awards.

"I just came from Atlanta for a screener of the first episode," said Naughton. "People were just having a fit. Even myself...I'm excited about it."

STARZ dramatic series "Power," also executive produced by Courtney, David Knoller, Mark Canton, and Randall Emmett, airs Saturdays at 9 p.m. E/P - premiers June 7, 2014.

Nine year-old Anthony Michael Hobbs, the go-to for serious kid actors, stars in "In Roundabout Way' Sunday, June 8, 2014 in New York
anthony_headshot2014.jpg"In the beginning the character was acting tough...but he wasn't," said nine year-old actor Anthony Michael Hobbs (Emmy nominated "The Abolitionist") about his upcoming starring role in "In a Roundabout Way" to be held Sunday, June 8, 2014 at 2 p.m. ET at the historic Hudson Lodge (601 Union Street) in New York. It is written by Kim Sykes who plays the best friend of Mary Todd (widow of President Abraham Lincoln), played by Cynthia Darlow, "In a Roundabout Way" which follows Mary during the Reconstruction era through her journey of struggles and friendships.

Hobbs plays Breed a homeless boy she befriends along the way. "In a Roundabout Way" also stars Michael Arkin as a spiritualist Henderick Swendon.
"I guess I will do the same as last time," Anthony pointed out when asked how he will handle a "reading" role on stage. He was referring to his starring role in the Emmy nominated PBS docu-series "The Abolitionist" where he played a young Frederick Douglas that did not have a speaking part. His scene, none-the-less, was used by PBS to promote the film because he carried the small role so expertly. As a result he represented PBS in 2013 when he attended the red carpeted awards ceremony in Hollywood.

"The Frederick Douglas role when I played that in 2012 because of the 2013 nomination, I got to go to the Emmy Awards," he said about which role, of his long list of credits, he likes best. "I kind of helped my face to stay in that look by acting in my head. I said lines in my head to make my body think I was saying them."

Already a multi-award winning actor Anthony Michael Hobbs also models, and appeared in the national marketing campaign for Finish Line athletic chain, the second largest chain in the U.S.

He has also starred in the DreamWorks documentary "How to Train Your Dragon:" Dragons and Dinosaurs"; Samuel Wise's musical "Christmas Gift"; in a United Way PSA; a Norwegian Cruise-Line commercial that also airs on its voyages; several Sprout Network mini-segments; a Comcast/Infinity X infomercials; in a segment of "Sk Wids,'" a kids online show (; the voice of an instructional video for advertising firm TBWA World Wide, the largest advertising holding company in the world; in the film Waiting for Godot, and PSAs for such projects for US National Parks Service, Baltimore County Recycling, the Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger, and USDA's Healthy Kids 2011 print campaign.

"I have fun on set. I meet new friends," Hobbs said about why he acts. "The joy of performing."
