The Pulse of Entertainment: Thirteen-Year-Old Country Singing Sensation Josie
Sal Releases ‘Fake Friends' Single

(May 20,2025)- "It's so crazy, God has aligned the stars. I sang as a
dare and immediately started getting booked," said 13-year-old Country singing sensation Josie Sal when
I pointed out how it looks like she is always on tour. "It's not like we try to find them (performance gigs)."
Josie Sal
debuted with a single "On My Way" at the age of 10 in Florida. She went on to release her "Two Cents"
single. Her newest single is titled "Fake Friends" and is produced by Noah Henson (Kane
Brown, Brantley Gilbert).
"My siblings are so supportive," she told me when I asked about family support because
of her young age. "They send me song ideas and say, ‘You should write about this.' My parents said we'll chase
it...or move on to something else (depending on what she wants to do)."
Josie also plays guitar, and I asked her about
that.
"When I got into singing...I was mostly focused on that (singing). Then I started playing guitar...I use it
for songwriting. It's so much easier," Sal said.
I asked her did she always sing at home and if that is why her dad dared
her to go onstage and sing.
"I was about three and a 1/2 years-old. We all dare each other. My dad dares us. He said,
‘I will give you $20 bucks to sing with that band.' I'm the 4th kid and I was always dancing and singing. So, I was
like $20 bucks?! So, I went up there and caught the bug. I love it so much. My parents said, ‘Do you want to take a
break," she laughed at the thought of taking a break from what she loves.
"It's weird because we all played sports,"
she pointed out. "They said, ‘Now what do we do with you. No one does music.'"

I asked
her what her dreams are for her music career, and she said, "I really hope...I get to play at the (Grand Ole') Opry,
CMA, ACM...and tour."
Well, she is halfway there because she has been touring
since she stepped off that stage when she was 10. She performed as the opening act for four-time Academy Country Music Award
winning/one-time CMA Award winning Riley Green and two-time Academy Country Music Award nominated Aaron Tippin. She shared
the stage with Grammy winning/16X Academy of Country Music Award winning Lainey Wilson and two-time Grammy nominated/3-time
CMT Award winner/one-time CMA Award winner Jelly Roll.
