(May 23, 2025) - "An intriguing melting-pot of Latin music," is the offering of the new album release of percussionist Chillie Willie Groove titled "It's About Times" (It's a Groove Thang). The album features the vocals of veteran Latin vocalist Elisa Gomez Taylor (EStar Quartet, The Platters Experience).

The "It's About Time" project offers 10 selections that give a different aspect of Latin music on each, that integrates other genres or other influences. You will find Chillie showcasing his vocal abilities, along with Taylor and Jamaican Reggae artist Lennox B (on "It's a Great Day"), Sharon Marie Klein (on "Percussion" single), and vocalist Honore. The Los Angeles JazzZone 2023 Lifetime Legend Award recipient's long time collaborative partner Elisa Gomez Taylor is co-writer on "It's About Time" album release.

On July 11, 2025 at the Jazzy's Cabaret in New Haven Connecticut you will find Chillie Willie Groove performing some selections from the "It's About Times" album. Though considered a percussionist Chillie is also a guitarist, drummer, keyboardist, bass player, and vocalist.

The "It's About Time" album offers a melting-pot of Latin vibes for everyone. My favorites on the project include #2 "Percussion" featuring Sharon Marie Klein because of the sweet Latin-swing feel, and I love the Spanish lyrics giving it a retro feel. "It's a Great Day," which is #3 on the project, is another favorite of mine because I love the introduction-beat and the marriage of Latin and Jamaican Reggae is brilliant. Gives you an Island feel mixed with a Latin vibe. Very fresh. The "La Cosa" single is #5 and it's a favorite too because of the nice mood it puts you in, making me think that it's the heart of what Latin music should be. The last track "Slapalicious" because the beat Chillie Willie Groove creates, to me, is just the purest part of the Latin culture.  www.Reverbnation.com/chilliewilliegroove
