(July 11, 2023) - "If He said it He going to do it," said B. Chase Williams about the meaning to the new single of B. Chase Williams and ShaBach titled "Power of God". "I want to say you still here cause of the power of God."

B. Chase started playing the piano at the tender age of seven and by ten years old he was a choir director. Williams is a native of Cincinnati who relocated to Atlanta where he launched the ShaBach choir in 1993 and that same year released the "Take a Trip" (Light Records) album. This debut reached #10 on the Billboard Gospel Charts and stayed there for 29 weeks. In 1997 B. Chase Williams & ShaBach released their sophomore album "Give It Up" (CGI/Inversion) which peaked at #36 on Billboard Gospel Chart.

"We are releasing a full project later this year," the choir director said about the "Power of God" single. "It's a Jason Claiborne led out...summer time up-tempo song. It's a timely song after everything we went through...enduring the pandemic."

The "Power of God" track is off the upcoming new album titled "Chasing the Next Chapter" (Millie's Boy Music Group). The single is written by Claiborne.

The Stellar Award winning choir has shared the stage with Kirk Franklin, Hezekiah Walker, Kurt Carr, Donald Lawrence, Yolanda Adams, Patti Labelle, Vicki Winans and Stevie Wonder. B. Chase is also a solo singer/songwriter, a playwright, producer and stage play director. Williams has toured in stage plays starring Boris Kodjoe, Iris Elba, Yolanda Adams, Mona Gaye, and Donnie McClurkin. He and his choir have also performed on national shows such as The Bobby Jones Gospel Show. A minister at the Clarkston First Baptist Church, B. Chase Williams and ShaBach has also garnered a Rhythm of Gospel Award.
"I started my choir in the 90s," Williams informed me when I asked. "This year would be 30 years. My mother said I was in her belly doing music...I was uniquely gifted."
He said that when he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia he was working with the Georgia Mass Choir and is on the "Joy" album with Kirk Franklin. That was when Kirk gave him advice that resulted in him forming the ShaBach Choir."
When I asked how he selected his choir members because their sound is so smooth, he said, "A lot of them I hand picked. We genuinely love one another. We do things together."
