The Pulse of Entertainment: Billboard Chart-Topping Saxophonist
Jackiem Joyner to Release New Album ‘Every Part of Me' on his New Label Shanachie Entertainment
(January 13, 2026) - "I enjoy the process," said
Billboard chart-topping saxophonist Jackiem Joyner about his new upcoming album "Every
Part of Me" (Shanachie Entertainment). "Sometimes it gets annoying, but I enjoy the process."
This new
album, "Every Part of Me," is his first release on his new record label Shanachie Entertainment. Shanachie is the
home of KeKe Wyatt, Meshell Ndegeocello, Keiko Matsui, George Clinton, Kim Waters and Paul Taylor to name a few. The debut
project of Jackiem Joyner on Shanachie will be released January 16, 2026.
"Danny, the V.P., he reached out to me...started
a conversation," Jackiem said when I asked about his new record label deal with Shanachie. "He asked where I'm trying
to go with my music...I felt it was the right time (to sign)."

The "Every
Part of Me" project features assistance from A. Ray Fuller on guitar; two-time Grammy Award nominated Timothy Bailey,
Jr. on bass and as a producer on two songs; Kyle Bolden (Stevie Wonder) on guitar; Latin Grammy Award nominated Kay-ta Matsuno
on guitar; Brian Simpson (Janet Jackson) on piano; Brandon Harris on drums; Jermone Randall on bass and Gibert Fambro as the
mixer.
"I love writing music and songs," Jackiem said about the new project. "Two of the songs I teamed up
with a producer - Tim ("Where I Belong" and "Silk"). They are all originals. I do all the production...arranging."
"I did
have something in mind," he said when I asked where the concept for the album came from. "I perform all over the
world and don't give all of myself."
Which is why the new album is titled "Every
Part of Me." Joyner said this time he did not hold back. The album is full of songs that are all different in every way.
The production and arrangement are masterful.
"I try to give each song its own place," Jackiem Joyner admitted when I mentioned
how awesome the production/arrangement is for each song. "It happens organically, when I'm producing...I make it about
the song I'm writing. Each makes its own statement. The sequences come together nicely. I fell in love with the sequences
(of the album)."
Jackiem Joyner, a Norfolk, Virginia native, is such a legend in the Contemporary Jazz genre that Syracuse,
New York gave him a Key to the City. He has collaborated with such high-profile artists and musicians as Angela Bofill, Najee,
Jean Carne, Ronnie Laws, Keiko Matsui, Peter White and George Duke. He has garnered a total of three Billboard #1 hits and
eight Billboard Top Five Chart hits. Aside from Contemporary Jazz, Jackiem Joyner is also fluent in R&B, Soul, Blues,
Funk and Pop.
"I never thought I'd play the saxophone," he added when I asked about his background as a musician.
"I thought I was going to be a drummer. I picked up the sax at 13. It was fresh, challenging, and complicated. It's also
rewarding ...when you play it correctly. So, I put the drums down and picked up the sax."
The "Every Part of Me" project on Shanachie Entertainment will be released January 16th. The
first single from the project is "Just Like That" featuring Brian Simpson and it is out now.
