The Pulse of Entertainment: Gospel's C'Tyre Releases ‘Hold
On' Single on Tisdale Nation Entertainment
(February 17, 2026) - "I wrote it in 2024," said
Gospel power-house vocalist C'Tyre (Compassion Anderson) about his new single "Hold
On" (Tisdale Nation Entertainment.com) featuring Stellar Award nominated Montrae Tisdale and
The Friends Chorale. "It's to encourage others. I am a Praise & Worship leader...sometimes you have to push
our hurt aside to encourage others. So, it's for ministers of the church...saying, ‘I know you are hurting but hold
on'."
C'Tyre is the lead vocalist of The Friends Chorale, a Gospel choir of Stellar nominated Montrae Tisdale (Power
103.5FM).
"I started as a kid, my uncle is Wayman Tisdale ("Cryin' For Me")," said Montrae when I asked
about his "humble beginnings. "He (Wayman) said, ‘we only good at three things - sports, music or preaching.'
He said, ‘that's the only option.' I tried sports...didn't work out. I didn't preach thus I chose music. There are 16
members of The Friends Chorale."
"I'm one of the lead singers," C'Tyre added.
C'Tyre is the winner of the Texas Gospel Music Excellence Award for "New Artist of the Year."
"I was
raised by my grandparents," he continued about himself when I asked. "I started piano at the age of 8 and started
playing for his church (his grandfather the late Bishop). Singing is my outlet."
"The last thing my grandmother
told me was ‘keep doing what you are doing.'" C'Tyre said.
"Being with Montrae and The Friends Chorale...have
been my...pushers. There is not a month that they don't call to pick me up ...and get me out (since his grandmother passed
away in 2024)," C'Tyre said as we concluded out interview about his new single "Hold On."
Montrae Tisdale and The
Friends Chorale have released two albums and both reached Billboard's Top 30 Gospel Albums. They have performed as opening
act for Shirley Ceasar, Fred Hammond, Earnest Pugh and Kirk Franklin. www.MyHoustonGospel.com www.MontraeTisdaleOfficial.com
